"For this song, I wanted to try a simple motif and a strophic structure to evoke a more folk-esque feeling, and exactly matching this wish was what suddenly came to me one afternoon sitting at my piano. At first, this was going to be only piano and vocals, and the chords I used were reminiscent of very old songs like Scarborough Fair, but when I played around with the chord progression, it became much more dynamic, and finally what you can hear now. Arrangement-wise I took inspiration from the early hits of France Galle, as I did a tad for the lyrics, though telling an original story of a girl on her never-ending march through the harsh winter of 1916.
My main concern was to make this song really sound as if it evolved from a simple rural French folk ballad, in which I think I have succeeded.
And surprisingly, MAIKA makes for some quality French." -~mw~
lyrics

Circus is a music machine who's put out tons of amazing tracks since 715, but this is still my favourite of his albums by far. I still don't know how he got Len's English to sound so emotional and powerful on Poltergeist, but on that and every track Circus showcases why he is the king of English vocalsynth tuning wondersmith_39

I have the physical version of Lucid but I knew I had to get the Cupcake EP too!! CircusP has really come on in recent years but his first albums still have such a charm to them. Super catchy, with a wide range of VOCALOIDS all tuned to perfection! Georgie
